Director Mani Ratnam Speach at Ponniyin Selvan Trailer launch:
After Chekka Chivantha Vaanam,Subaskaran asked me what i am going to do.I told i want to make Ponniyin Selvan.In just 2 minutes he decided to make the film.
He asked me whether this film will be like Rajamouli’s Bahubali.I told it definitely wont be like Bahubali.
He asked whether it will be like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat.I told it wont be.Then he asked how it will be.I told it will be like Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan.We have tried our best to make exactly the same.
The Actors in this film has given me great support.Kamal sir has given voice to this film.You will know when u see the trailer.
