It gave me immense happiness knowing that versatile actor Sri Rajanikanth has been selected for Dada Saheb Phalke Award. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to him on my behalf and Janasena Party. Sri Rajanikanth, who captivated the Tamil audience for the past four-and-half-decade, is eligible for the award by all means. He also attained the affection of the Telugu audience along with the Tamil audience. He has a close association with my family. I still remember his films ‘Bandipotu Simham’ and ‘Kali’ which he had acted along with my brother Chiranjeevi 30 years ago. I wish Sri Rajanikanth will act in much more good films and continue to delight the audience.
