XII South Zone Shooting Championship Competitions held at TN Spl Police 3rd Battalion shooting range, Verrapuram, Chennai has come to a close and the valedictory function was held today Saturday the 13th of March 2021. Event was presided over by DV Seetha Rama Rao, Secretary General, National Rifle Assn. Of India and Actor Karthi was the chief guest of the evening and gave away the medals to the winners. Mr. Vijayakumar IPS(Retd.), Mr. Ravikrishnan Vice President of TNSA and Deputy Organising Secretary, Mr. M.Gopinath also participated.
“About 800 participants from 5 southern states namely Tamilnadu, Telangana, Andhra, Kerala and Karnataka participated in this competition. A new record was created by a Karnataka shooter Miss.Yukthi, who scored 400/400 in 10mts Air Rifle event under Senior Women, Junior Women and Youth Women categories, and won 3 individual Gold Medals and she set a new south zone record” said the Organising Secretary of the event and Secretary of Chennai Rifke Club Mr. Rajsekar Pandian.
